I am a permanent resident here in Australia. Do I have to process an application for a visa if I will visit India?
Your permanent residence in Australia doesn’t have any importance to the issuance of your Indian visa. Your citizenship is the one that has relevance if you need a visa or not. If you are a citizen of Nepal, Bhutan, or India, you don’t have to get a visa. Moreover, if you are from another country, are born in India, and has a UCI or PIO with a U visa, you don’t need to apply for a visa anymore. On the other hand, all others including you have to obtain an Indian visa.
